Law enforcement agencies to share assets in deterring drug dealers on local highways

Junction City Police Chief Dan Breci requested a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the police department and the Geary County Sheriff’s Office during this week’s city commission meeting. The agreement was approved, and allows the agencies to share assets for deterring drug dealers on local highways. Breci is pictured during a presentation at the meeting.

Junction City Police Chief Dan Breci is retiring.

His retirement was confirmed by Capt. Trish Giordano over the weekend, after it was discovered that Breci’s position had been listed as open.

Breci’s last day on the job with the JCPD is expected to be Sept. 20.

At this time, no further information has been made available.
