Construction will begin today on a pedestrian/bicycle pathway for W. Eighth Street and Eisenhower Drive. KDOT has awarded the project to Junction City.

The project will consist of a 10-ft. concrete lighted walkway starting from the intersection of Eighth Street and Rucker Road east to Eisenhower Drive and then south to Homer’s Pond.

During construction of the path, drivers will be asked to exercise caution while driving through the work zone. People should keep an eye out for both construction equipment and workers while driving in the area.

For more information on the project, please contact the Public Works Department of the City of Junction City at 785-238-7142.
