Eichorn named USD 475 assistant special education director

Unified School District 475 announced that Courtney Eichhorn has accepted the position of assistant special education director. Eichhorn will begin on July 1, after current Assistant Director Dr. Kathryn Beougher leaves the district for retirement.

Eichhorn is currently an instructional and compliance coach at Junction City High School, and has served as a special education teacher at both Junction City High School and Junction City Middle School. Before that, she was a special education teacher in Lawton, Okla.

Eichhorn earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in Special Education and Secondary Education. She received a masters of arts in Education from Michigan State University. Eichhorn will earn her Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in May for educational leadership and special education administration.
