It’s Nov. 5, which means it’s election day in Junction City/Geary County — time for the public to make its voice heard.

Eligible voters are encouraged to head to the polls and cast their votes for Junction City Commission and Unified School District 475 Board of Education candidates today. Those who can’t make it to the polls physically but still plan to vote via absentee ballot must have their ballots in the mail today.

According to County Commission Charles Stimatze, canvassing will take place Nov. 15, at which point all eligible votes will be counted. However, election results will come in Tuesday night.

Those interested may feel free to keep an eye on the Junction City Union Facebook page, which will be updated live as results come in. Check for election news as well.
