Chapin was one of three four-legged friends with their families hiking around Milford State Park Friday afternoon as part of the First Day Hike.
Nearly 50 hikers joined in celebrating the 3rd Annual First Day Hike hosted by members of the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism at Milford State Park Friday afternoon. The 2 1/2 mile walk on parts of Eagle Ridge Trail featured native grasses, hills and vantage points of Milford Lake.
Junction City residents, Kevin and Maria Foerschler, drop off non-perishable items for the Geary County Food Bank Friday afternoon while participating in the 3rd Annual First Day Hike sponsored by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism.
