Former Geary Community Hospital general surgeon Charles Bollman died Tuesday.
Bollman, 77, practiced surgery in Junction City for 42 years before he retired in June 2017. He moved to Florida after his retirement.
In addition to his time at the hospital, Bollman also served in the U.S. Army. His tenure included a tour in Vietnam.
Prior to retirement, Bollman reflected on his time as a surgeon in Junction City. He said the city didn’t have a surgeon when he first started his private practice.
“I love my patients,” he said at the time. “I wish them the best and I thank them for supporting me all these years.”
