Registration is now open for the Fort Riley Bow Slinger 3-D Archery Tournament, which will be hosted by Fort Riley and the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation on Aug. 24. 

The event is open to U.S. Army soldiers and family members, Department of Defense civilians and the general public. The all-day event will feature 25 unique targets on a course unlike any other. 

Archers are encouraged to pre-register by noon on Aug. 22 online at riley.armymwr.com, or in person at the Outdoor Adventure Park, located at 5202 Normandy Drive. Registration categories include Men’s Open, Men’s Bow Hunter, Women’s Open, Women’s Bow Hunter, Active Duty, Traditional and Youth (ages 8-17). 

The tournament will award cash payouts to the top three finishers in each category. 

Community members without Department of Defense identification cards who wish to attend may use the trusted traveler program or apply for a day pass at the visitor control center at the Marshall Army Airfield Gate, located off Interstate 70, exit 301.
