Local law enforcement officers arrested four people in Junction City for drug-related charges Thursday.

The Junction City/Geary County Drug Operations Group served a search warrant at 106 S. Webster St. Thursday after a two-month long investigation of methamphetamine distribution, according to Sgt. Doug Cathey. This warrant yielded methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. The warrant was served with the assistance of the Junction City Police Department, the Geary County Sheriff’s Department, the Grandview Plaza Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. The following people were arrested as a result of this warrant: 

• Gregory Lawrence Westfall, 51, of Concordia, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school;

possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school; felony possession of drug paraphernalia; and theft of services

• Preston Lee Cressller, 32, of Junction City, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school; felony possession of drug paraphernalia; and theft of services

• Brandi Lee Leonard, 27, of Junction City, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and felony possession of drug paraphernalia

• Samantha Larae Goodno, 33, of Junction City, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and felony possession of drug paraphernalia

The Junction City/Geary County Drug Operations Group is a joint task force composed of members of the Junction City Police Department, the Geary County Sheriff’s Department and the Grandview Plaza Police Department.
