Junction City’s Public Works Department is in the process of repairing a failed sanitary storm drain pipe in the 500 block of North Eisenhower Drive, which will be closed from Sixth Street to Fifth Street through Friday.

Eisenhower Drive traffic will be inconvenienced during the road repairs, and motorists will need to follow the posted detour and work zone signage, and pay attention to construction traffic.

Traffic on Caroline Avenue will also be inconvenienced this week. A contractor will be milling the road, and motorists will need to follow the posted work zone signage there as well.

Milling work will be done on Caroline Avenue from Ash Street to St. Marys Road. The work involved will consist of milling two inches of existing roadway for a new two-inch asphalt overlay, and some curb and gutter replacement.

Those with questions about the projects can contact the Public Works Department at 238-7142.
