Dale E. Rumbaugh

Dale E. Rumbaugh, 92, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at the Junction City Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Mark Hatcher will officiate. A.visitation will be held 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Good Shepherd Hospice House c/o Homecare and Hospice 3801 Vanesta Drive Manhattan, KS 66503.

He was born on September 4, 1926, Phillips County, Kansas to Harvey and Lillis (Cockroft) Rumbaugh.

Dale was born and grew up on the family farm in Phillips County Kansas. He was a home builder with R&R Developers in Junction City until his retirementĀ  in 2008. Prior to moving to Junction City in 1960, he ran a grocery store with this brother-in-law Ray Rothfuss in Miltonvale, KS. He was a member of Junction City Church of the Nazarene

On September 27, 1950, he married Wilma Rothfuss.

DaleĀ  is survived by his loving wife Wilma of the home in Junction City. He is also survived by three sons, Larry Rumbaugh and his wife Judy of Yukon, OK, Jerry Rumbaugh and his wife Sherol of Junction City, KS and Terry Rumbaugh of Junction City, KS; one brother Eldon Rumbaugh and his wife Trish of Junction City, KS; nine grandchildren, Jana Boone, Mark Rumbaugh, Crystal Rumbaugh, Paige Huntington, Megan Lackey, Morgan Todd, Jason Rumbaugh, Justin Rumbaugh and Josh Rumbaugh; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
