Howard Barry Nicholson, 82, of Manhattan, Kansas passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Howard was born November 10, 1936 to Nathan and Sadie (Dolinka) Nicholson in Saginaw, Michigan and was the oldest of three children. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1958.
Howard is survived by his children Stephen and Angie Nicholson of Olathe, Kansas, Alan Nicholson of Overland Park, Kansas, Gary and Dee (Nicholson) Wileman, dear friend Harriet Woodyard of Manhattan, Kansas; brother, Sandy (Cheryl) Nicholson of West Bloomfield, Michigan; sister, Patricia Shanbom of Farmington Hills, Michigan and grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Melody Gilbert Nicholson in 2009.
Howard was a 2nd Lieutenant of the United States Army and a Chemical Engineer most of his life. He enjoyed camping with his kids & grand kids, watching old TV shows, road trips and eating fried pies. He also LOVED cars.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, May 18 10:00am at Crestview Christian Church 4761 Tuttle Creek Blvd. Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
