Blue Jay tennis team finishes eighth in Centennial League Tournament

Nolan Rothfuss looks to volley the ball Monday at the Centennial League Tournament.

The Junction City tennis team finished in eighth place after competing in the Centennial League Tournament Monday.

Nolan Rothfuss and Mason Richards led the Blue Jays to an eighth place finish in doubles going 3-3 on the day.  

The other doubles team of Albert Caba and Erik Mitchell finished with a  2-3 record in doubles. In the singles category, Kody Westerhaus earned ninth place with a 4-2 record. 

The Blue Jay tennis team will travel to Topeka Friday to compete in the 6A regional tennis tournament. Matches will be held at the Kossover Tennis Center beginning at 10 a.m.
