The Junction City Blue Jay tennis team traveled to Topeka Saturday for a varsity tournament. Singles players for JC finished in second place. 

Aaron Reutzel went 2-2 on the day to finish as the runner-up in the top flight of singles. Mark Virtudazo went 2-1 to finish in second place in the No. 3 singles bracket. In doubles, Jace Engle and Trenton Reynolds teamed up to finish fifth in the second flight of doubles going 2-1 on the day.  

Two other doubles teams competed for the Blue Jays and finished in sixth place. Those teams included Jace Goheen and Calen Boller for the top flight and Nate Green and Alex Seelye in the second flight. The Blue Jays will travel to Manhattan Tuesday for the Manhattan Varsity Tennis Quad, with matches beginning at 3 p.m.
