The Junction City Blue Jays lost two games at Hayden High School Tuesday afternoon.
In game one, the Blue Jays took an early 1-0 lead after the first inning, but the Wildcats knotted things up at one run apiece by the end of the second. The Blue Jays regained a narrow 3-2 lead by the end of the fourth inning. But, two late runs by the Wildcats helped them take game one 4-3.
The runs came early in game two, as the game was locked up at 2-2 after the first inning. But, the Blue Jays were unable to find home plate for the rest of the game. The Wildcats were able to place nine more runs on the board as they took game two 11-2, giving them a sweep.
The Blue Jays (9-5) will look to get back on the winning track Friday when they travel to Emporia High School.
