WICHITA — The state track meet was hampered by wet weather Friday, but high school athletes were back in action at Wichita's Cessna Stadium Saturday.

Early results Saturday featured Junction City's Keiana Newman winning the Class 6A state championship in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.85.

Javontez Brime was also an early participant Saturday in the 110-meter high hurdles, and placed 12th with a time of 16.25.

Additional Junction City results will be reported later.
