To the editor:

Two good people are running for County Attorney in Geary County this year, but one of them clearly has more experience in prosecuting felony and other criminal matters, and more experience in managing that office.

Chris Biggs has been elected and re-elected Geary County Attorney for numerous terms. After years of service in state government, he is currently Deputy County Attorney under Steve Opat. He has prosecuted thousands of felony and other criminal cases, working with law enforcement at all levels, represented the state in many jury trials, and he managed the large staff and caseload at the County Attorney’s Office for years.

Ms. Blaisdell is a prosecutor of misdemeanor and traffic cases in Junction City Municipal Court and apparently has a good relationship with Junction City Police Department, where her office is located.

We urge Geary County voters to support Chris Biggs, the seasoned and experienced prosecutor, for County Attorney.
